This is a great idea Mark. And I'm happy to contribute. Anyone else up for contributing?

It's great that there are positives with his new placement. So tough that it is such an arduous journey for you and a huge adjustment for him. I have heard of families getting financial support for visits (e.g. plane tickets) It's not clear to me what the criteria for this is - I'm not sure if this is only available for 'looked after' children. But it might be something worth exploring with your CCG? Wishing you ad your son the very best of luck.

Glad that you have a provider and an independent supporter helping. Wishing you the best of luck.

Hello Ruth. I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your son are facing and going through. Has your son had a Care and Treatment review? If not, I'd strongly suggest you ask for one as it will bring all the professionals involved in your son's care and treatment together in front of an independent reviewing panel. There is some info on this site about care and treatment reviews (CTRs) but please let me know if you'd like me to send you some links to some helpful info. Best wishes Isabelle
