The Adidas NMD R1 Womens is working overtime in the month of March as we’ll be seeing may different versions of the lightweight runner from adidas release for men and women. One of the colorways of the NMD that will be releasing this month is the pair that you see above which features a black mesh upper instead of the traditional Primeknit pairs that we’ve seen on past releases. In addition to the black mesh upper we can also see white detailing on the heel tab and BOOST midsole. Wrapping things up are black and blue EVA inserts on the midsole.
Earlier this month Sneaker News previewed a whole gang of Adidas NMD R1 Mens colorways that were poised for a release this season. These wide-release versions, which don’t appear to feature Primeknit uppers, are not just for men, but also for women and kids. That said, don’t break the bank trying to cop the next pair of NMDs because its clear that adidas is looking to make these a ubiquitous sneaker option rather than one of the more limited fare.
Whether you got your hands on the first Adidas NMD R1 White release or missed out thanks to the limited quantities, by now you’re probably thirsting for more of adidas’ hottest new silhouette. After initially dropping in late 2015, we’re finally getting a second colorway of the NMD, this time with a bold graphic across the Primeknit upper. The TV fuzz-like graphic covers the sneaker from heel to toe, with accents in black and an absence of the three stripes at the midfoot like the first colorway.
The Adidas NMD R1 Black continues to garner more attention now that the Consortium Tour has hinted at upcoming collaborations with select stores around the world. Tomorrow, the third official release of the sneaker known as the adidas NMD PK Runner will hit select adidas Originals retailers; it features a very “Oreo”-like mix of black and white on the Primeknit shell, but unlike the first debut pair and the Consortium version, these do not feature taped-on adidas stripes on the upper.
