This is a family led forum that offers support, resources and campaigning for people detained in assessment and treatment units; secure hospitals; locked rehab units.
The aim is for the people to be released from detention into a home of their choosing in their community.
This forum is run by families of learning disabled people and people with autism.
The main focus of the forum is supporting families and people affected by detentions in assessment and treatment units.
The forum is divided into several sub forums, each reflecting a specific issue that may be of interest/concern to families.
All members can start a thread and participate in others' threads.
The forum is moderated and offensive behaviour will not be tolerated and members will be banned.
It is a public forum and we encourage members from all fields connected to social care. Members should be aware of the public nature of the forum when deciding what to disclose.
Do not worry if it is not obvious immediately in which forum to write your post. You can start a thread in the "General Chat" section and the moderators can move the thread to the correct sub forum.
Each time you log onto the site, you will notice yellow bubbles in the left hand column of the forum main menu. That tells you there are new, unread posts in that forum. Alternatively, you can click on the "latest posts" key on the top right of the main menu screen and that will display all new posts since you were last logged in.
